CPAP - General

Remote monitoring is not an obligation. Your prescriber may recommend this to allow them to monitor your progress and aid in period reviews. Remote monitoring provides the ability to automatically transmit sleep compliance and efficacy data to your healthcare provider on a daily basis. Your CPAP is equipped with an internal or external modem that records and transmits data on the use of your therapy and its effectiveness.

Please contact our compliance team on 1800 24 02 02 or email compliance@airliquide.ie

Our team will assess whether your device is enabled with remote monitoring for download access or whether a download of the SD memory card from your device is necessary. The downloaded report will be forwarded to your prescribing doctor/team.

If your doctor has given you a new prescription indicating a change, please contact us and we will manage your request. If your device has remote monitoring enabled and a modem connected we may be able to make the prescription change remotely for you.

We will need to receive a copy of the prescription change in advance of organising any changes to your prescription.

Your machine may stay plugged in and communications from the device is easier when plugged in. You may disconnect it from the mains when not in use if that is your preference. If you are using cloud based compliance software please ensure that the device is plugged in for a minimum of 30 minutes after the end of therapy or before the start of therapy to allow for the previous night time data to be uploaded to the cloud.

It is good practice to inform your insurance company of any illness or conditions that you have that may affect your ability to drive if not treated. It may affect your insurance cover if you fail to inform them of this diagnosis and you have an accident and you are not compliant with therapy.

If you drive for a living or as part of your job your employer may ask you to provide a compliance report from your device to ensure that your CPAP therapy is being used and is effective. If so, please contact our compliance team for assistance. We suggest that you inform your insurance company of any illness or conditions that you have that may affect your ability to drive if untreated.

If you intend to use your device onboard please make sure that all bluetooth / wi-fi and cellular communication ports are turned off for the duration of the flight. Please note that there is no battery included in this device.
