How does the cylinder work?
- 300 litres of compressed gaseous oxygen is contained in a lightweight portable 1 litre CC cylinder.
- The paediatric cylinder allows paediatrics and/or carers to accurately select varying flow rates as indicated by the Healthcare Professional.
- The paediatric cylinder has a quick connect fitting that can be used with a low flow and micro flow regulator for neonatal and paediatric applications.
- On a continuous flow rate of 2 litres per minute the cylinder will last approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.
Typical patient profile for the cylinder
- The paediatric cylinder can deliver flow rates between 0.5 – 15 litres per minute on a continuous flow.
- The paediatric cylinder is primarily prescribed for use by patients aged 17 years and under.
Why choose the cylinder?
- The paediatric cylinder can be carried over the shoulder or in the back pack provided.
- Nasal cannulae or masks can be used with the lightweight portable cylinder.
